The south unit has two bedrooms plus a sleeping loft and one full bathroom. Each unit has a fully stocked kitchen. This rental property is ideal for two small families wanting to stay together under one roof yet still have their own space. Maximum capacity is twelve guests over two years of age.

LOVE staying at this house for a weekend get-a-way with my family. The house is so spacious, my family does not feel cramped at all during our stay. One of my personal favorite things about the home is its location. I can walk to North Beach in two minutes or into town in under 10. Bundees cafe is only two houses down which is a great spot to get a morning coffee as well. I have been going to the Avery for an annual weekend stay for 5 years now and it never disappoints. I would highly recommend this house, or any of Mike Biedermann’s properties. Five stars in my book!

Our whole family stays here every year, and we are always impressed by the state of the house when we arrive. It is a luxurious property……5 Star! Walk right across the street and you are at the North Beach Public Beach. Bring your bikes and ride all around South Haven, or your tennis shoes to walk all around because you can do either from this gorgeous home. We have had so many amazing family memories here!

This was our 5th year of our now annual family reunion weekend in South Haven. SouthHavenBeachHomes is the absolute reason we look forward to coming back every year. The attention to detail is incredible. This year, we stayed at The Avery, which is amazing. The gourmet kitchen is always a highlight, perfectly appointed with all the utensils you could imagine and plenty of room around the breakfast bar and dining table. We love having the large deck off the kitchen, where we can bbq and play with the kids on the jungle gym in the yard. The family room is super comfy as well as the full finished basement so you can watch the game and cartoons at the same time. The bedrooms are spacious and quiet, and there is never an argument over who gets which room. We never made it into South Haven, which is blocks away, because we had such a relaxing time at The Avery. With the beach and the Black River steps away, there was always a sand castle to make or some ducks to feed.

Can’t say enough about this beautiful home! Our family has started an annual reunion at the Avery, as we all fell in love with it at first sight. Just steps from the beach, we love the front porch, which is easily an extension of the super comfy family room. The gourmet kitchen is truly where we spend most of our time. With plenty of stools at the island, and huge dining table, many delicious meals and beverages have been made with lots of laughs and memories. Also, the deck off the kitchen is a great place for gathering and grilling, or hanging out while the kids are playing on the swing set for all ages in the yard. The bedrooms are comfy cozy, and quiet for the little ones or for the older ones that like to sleep in. The usual topic of conversation on our first day, is always, when are we coming back!!

Staying at the Avery Beach House is becoming one of my favorite Fall traditions. The house is absolutely beautiful. The Avery is a short walking distance from Lake Michigan (North Beach), the marina, and downtown, where there are a number of delicious restaurants. The Avery is a perfect get away during all seasons. I always look forward to the huge bathtub and kitchen, fireplace in the living room, and watching phenomenal sunsets, whether it be on the beach or from the front porch. Every time I stay at the Avery I fall even more in love with it.

This was our third year staying at the Avery House in South Haven and we love it more and more every time! The house is spacious and the layout is perfect. The kitchen and eating area are a perfect size for a big group and have all of the pots, pans, coffee maker, dishwasher, silverware, etc. that you will need as well as a great big table and island with seating for meals. The living room is spacious and all of the bedrooms are huge! We have two small children and they LOVED the swing set in the backyard. The house is also walking distance into town, steps from the beach, and a short walk to the marina where there are a ton of ducks to feed. We love this house and hope to return again next year.

I am so lucky to have been able to spend two weekends with my family in the Avery Beach House and they have definitely been some of my favorites. Not only is the house breathtakingly beautiful, but it is walking distance to Lake Michigan, where I’ve seen some of the most amazing sunsets. I’d have to say that my favorite parts of the Avery are both of the porches and the enormous kitchen, where we spent the majority of our time cooking, laughing, and eating. Our weekends at the Avery have been the perfect getaways and I’m positive that not one of us ever wanted to leave! Gorgeous house, fun downtown, and the beach. What more could you need? I loved ever second of it!

I cannot say enough great things about the Avery Street Beach House! This house is beautifully designed and decorated. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all spacious and pristine. We made dinner every night in the well appointed kitchen and ate out on the covered porch. And the location!!! Oh my goodness, the one half block walk to the beach was so easy that it really helped us take advantage of our gorgeous weather (80 degrees in late September!). We were a group of 8, 4 adults and 4 kids (all under 6) and everyone LOVED it. We will definitely be making a trip back to the Avery Street Beach House!

We recently spent a great fall weekend with 4 couples at the Avery St Beach house. This home is spacious, clean, functional, warm, very well equiped, and has a fantastic location. The beach is a half block away. Downtown South Haven is an easy walk too. We had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to book the Avery St again. Great place to stay!!

Our family has stayed at the Avery Street Beach house for 6 years. The home is clean, beautiful and spacious. It fits our families perfectly. It’s a block from the water on beautiful North Beach and it’s walking distance to downtown South Haven. We love this house, it is equipped with everything we need. The owners are great to work with. I have been running Vegan Retreat Weekends for many years in South Haven. People gather for an educational, motivational weekend filled with excellent food and speakers. Avery Street Beach House has been a key part of these retreats for many years. The kitchen is absolutely a dream. Everything is there to cook, create and the room is large enough to do small group cooking classes and demonstrations. The living room area serves well for our speakers. We set up a big screen and projector and with some extra folding chairs and the huge couch and entry area, we have had 20-25 people listening to a world-class speaker presentation in front of the fireplace. I like that the house has so many bedrooms and it’s all furnished so beautifully. The location is simply the best. Our group can easily head out to the beach or pier for a nice walk in between speakers, meals, etc. Michael is so gracious and easy to work with. The ambiance is pure Michigan at its’ best!

The property is amazing! We had 2 families staying at this property and it was super spacious. I loved how the jungle gym is right outside the door as well as the grill and gorgeous deck(s). The property is super close to the bakery/coffee joint and in the mornings this was one of my favorite things to do. I also love that the property is close to the beach but, not on the beach, so the sand is at a minimum. What is more, and the biggest compliment I can write, is that my husband said that the time he had at this property was one of the best and most relaxing vacations he has had with our 3 kiddos. Perfect house, perfect memories!
